Chincoteague, VA

 Blog post #3

Our next stop was Chincoteague, VA on the Atlantic coast where our dear friends Cathy & John own a condo right on the water bordering the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge.  This area is famous for its wild ponies.

On the way, we went through Cambridge, MD which is where Harriet Tubman began her life and her mission to save as many as she could from the scourge of slavery.  The photo of a mural in town shows Harriet as well as other influential African Americans in politics, science, and art.
